I was looking at the thread of peoples "collection" Ok now here is an impossible question, if you could only keep one, what would it be and why? Also please post a picture of the one you would keep !!! Also, i got mine and it is simply awsome , a m43 btw

for just ' grab a knife and run' my first blade, 19 inch bura sirupate bought in 1999

I would take it because it has done a bunch of work, bunch of sacrifices, has the most mojo

I really like the 1999-2000 era because they did not use initials, was only devangari HI with the symbol, nothing else

I can't really answer this question, but I'll try.

"Grab and Go" would be my 18" Tirtha UBE - because I can use it to chop and fight with, it's 1/2" spine is substantial enough where I don't really need to worry about it failing, and it has a Tirtha made edge.

"Enjoyment" would definately be my 18" Rajkumar Baspati - can't help it, I love that blade, and I can handle this one the BEST.

"Fighting" would definately be my two 11 1/4" Padam Suga knife set - because they're devastating, and I feel like I could fight off an army with them in my hands. If I could only have one, well, so be it.

Probably my 19" chiruwa sirupati by Tirtha. It has been dubbed my field khukuri.

My to have and enjoy? Probably my 15" bashpati - the lines on it are incredible.

For fighting - My 16.5" 19oz siru-bash hybrid. It has a lot of spirit to it.

I didn't like this one so much at first sight. I fell in love with it after I tried it in the woods.
Because it doesn't look like a gem stolen from a museum, I'm not afraid to use it hard.
Full tang, perfect weight and balance and extremely efficient at cutting wood.
It takes everything I throw at it and doesn't show any abnormal signs of wear.

OK, I will play.

IF I could only keep one...
I would have to keep my Falcata. I struggled with the decision because my IBBB rides with me almost every day and my VBCAK I use almost every time I work in the yard. And my Bonecutter shares nightstand duties with my detective length Browning HP. But the Falcata is just such a unique blade. balanced well for it's size and weight. easy to get a good grip on and a perfect length for self defense. Plus, I mean it IS a Falcata made by HI how much cooler can it get?

If forced to keep one it would be the 22" 24oz foxy folly by Bura just for its uniqueness.

Tomorrow..GCB? Katana?

David, I cannot get over the YCS, it is so stunning, and beautiful. You have a real gem there, if I could only get one, that'd be the one I would grab too.

I agree, that YCS is really breathtaking. I like the one Ndog has too and don't tell anyone but I think Pugs has one like that too, that would be 5 now.

Love to have either or better yet both to call my own too.
