We're completing the wood scales for the UF pre-order now.
I was planning to use used smelly hammer handles for the wood but those are surprising scarce right now so I settled on some very nice Osage Orange, some really good old-stock African Blackwood (the old really dark stuff, not the new brown stuff you see these days), dark cocobolo and a few cocobolo with black-on-black liners with integral bolster. The bolster was an experiment to put micarta on the front of the wood to be more durable in a kydex sheath and they turned out pretty good.
Jo will select a set of scales at random as she's going along, but if you have a preference she will try to take your preference into consideration if you will go back and edit your order and send her an email.
So. If you have a preference you should let her know. Otherwise your scales will be selected randomly (whatever is next in the drawer).
Remember, as stated in the pre-order, the wood is "of my choosing" so ultimately you-get-what-you-get, but I want to at least try to accommodate folks preferences.
