If you had a chance to complete your wish list, which BKs or BK upgrade stuff would you get? (I have an opportunity but I have to buy for all 4 members of the family)

I already have a BK2. I know I'm down for at least 2 BK10s and 2 BK14s. But everything else is.....up in the air

So far my BK&T list for this year is the BK-14 and BK-16.

And Micarta for my BK-15 and soon-to-have BK-16.

Going to put some IZULA micarta on the BK-14, and strip it. Strip it good.

With beaucoup money, I'd like to have a few BK-5's and BK-15's to keep in the box should I ever need replacements. I never want to be without a BK-5 and 15.

I'd still dig having a Becker with mammoth ivory handle scales.

I have the whole currently produced production line so I'd go for a hedge hog leatherworks BK2 sheath, a skystorm dual carry bk9/candiru survival sheath and a sagewood gear BK7 dangler, and Azwelke bk4 drop w/bk24 piggyback. And a Godspeed bk16 esee molle back setup. :)

hold out for the BK24's instead of standard 14's -- and don't forget the scales -- one orange, one black for each knife.
at least 1 BK15 for the cook kit and BK16's for everyone over 12 in the house.

OD large Becker patrol pack, couple more BK9s, a BK11 and the rest for beer to open use it on.

Here's the perfect answer. If you got a grand you wanna blow on Beckers. And you already have some of the finest examples. Here's what you do. I don't care where in the states you live. 1 grand will more than pay for you to go to one of Ethans gatherings. You go there. You learn more than you ever thought. You meet the man himself. You eat good. You drink better. You leave with lifetime friends, experience nature in its finest form and all around have a time and experience that will last you a lifetime. All for much less that 1 grand. Oh and while your there. All of his line of knives are available. From his had to yours. None of that stuff can be beat for less than 1 grand.

Let's seeeee.....

BKT Micarta currently about $38 for my BK-7, BK-2, and BK-9, $114
BK-15 $65
Godspeed Kydex Sheath, pancake style w/ ESEE pouch for BK-7 about $72
BK-16 FFG Production Run $65
BK-14 new version w/ new coating and laser etching $37
BK-5 $71
Backup BK-2 $66
Doug Ritter RSK MK2 Perseverance $125

That brings me to $615.00 before taxes and shipping, so probably like $750. I honestly can't think of more things I really want without just thinking of them to throw them into my list.

I like Todd's idea.
Lacking vacation time, here's what I'd buy in addition to what I've got:

bk15
bk10 (kabar)
Patrol Machete (forget the #)
micarta for tweeners and full-size.
kabar bk11 to hack up
That's it!

That's probably what I'll spend at Blade. I'm sure a few Beckers will come home with me..

I'd pick up a BK5, a new BK4, and a BK16 and 17.

I'd add micarta to all my Beckers (BK2, BK4, BK4, BK5, BK9, BK15, BK16, BK17). I'd upgrade sheaths for many of them -- probably Skystorm for most of them (mmmm, leather) and possibly some azwelkes for a few (would give kydex a try).

Oh, and I'd hold back enough bread to pick up the RBK when it comes out.

mmm...

i'd buy an M18 and a Reinhardt Combat Khukri and some old CinCinn Beckers - esp the Machax or two.

after that? BK5, BK15, BK16, BK2, BK3 (or several), BK10 (new one), many BK14s or BK24s

then some packs or other Becker items...

I myself would go get a Randell Made 1-7 fighter while you had the big bucks and save getting the BK's for your weekly check since that is affordable.

Forget the 10 and the 14. The 9 is king and where you need to start at.

If your buying for 4 people get them all a matching set of

1 BK9 – it’s the king of BK’s and everybody should have one. About $90 each.

1 BK16 – every collection needs a good drop point and everyday carry knife. About $75 each.

Then expand to other knives also. Get them all…..

1 Spyderco Military. It is just such a good knife everybody needs one for their pocket or belt. About $150 each.

That’s about $340 each so times 4 it comes out to

$1360 which may be too much for ya so drop the BK16 and just keep the BK9 and Spyderco Military and the cost is about $1060 which if you look around you can whittle down that price and it will fit your price range.

You also might go

4 BK9’s = about $360

4 BK7’s = about $360

4BK16’s = about $300

For a grand total of about $1020 but I know you can shop around and get that price way under $1000.

A BK 9, 7 and 16 is a good 3 knife system and will take care of every knife need you will ever need.

You can dream up combinations all day long but what is important is getting everybody the BK9 and that will make most of them happy.

Fact is you only need the BK9 and BK16 to have a good set up.

Can I shop where you shop? :D I can chew up a grand on old Beckers pretty fast.

BK-6
Couple BK-16's
RBK or two

maybe a purse and dinner so I don't get l flayed with a 5 when it all shows up at once.

I'd take Ethan to a bar where the entertainment dances.

I'd buy them all. Then, take the other$700 thats left over, and buy some to give away here.

I like giving away knives.
