I was recently given a Buck 703 with a broken main blade, and a buck 303 with a broken main blade. I contacted buck and they said that they couldn't repair the 703 however they could give me a cherry handled 303 in turn. I asked if they could interchange that with another knife, and was told that they could as long as it was under the $52 mark.

Back to the main question, if you had $52 to spend on a buck(the price on the web store), what would it be?

I am considering doing the same thing with my 303, so that may be even more. Ill think about it...

These are the ones I'd consider:

-110 or 112 Ecolite
-Nobleman (whichever variant tickles your fancy)

I'd include Buck's slipjoints on my list, but I guess you're not interested in those.

I am interested in buck slipjoints, but was wondering what would be put before the slipjoints. I only want a USA made so the nobleman is out, and I already have a 110. How would you classify the quality of the cheaper model vantages?

The buck vantage select is a really good knife in my opinion. If you want a higher level vantage, ask buck if you can pay the difference.
