.....which would it be? Besides the Sebenza please. I don't want this to turn into another Sebenza feeding frenzy. And let me go ahead and say that if I were expecting trouble, I wouldn't pack a folder. Just like if I were expecting to be in a gun fight I wouldn't pack a pistol, I would have a shotgun or a rifle.

To answer my own question, probably a serrated spyderco military.

The Elishewitz Diablo would fill in nicely for my Sebenza, I believe.

Either the Vanquero Grande or the Sifu, depending on the weather.

Vampire Gerbil: Nosferatus Rodentus Moderatus; similar to a domestic gerbil, except for the odd accent and little black cape.

I would feel quite content with my BM710 or my old red serrated Endura (never let me down yet...)

Bm 710 or Spydie Wegner? 710 or Wegner? 710 or Wegner? uhhhh, Wegner. But, I'd send my wife back in for the Benchmade.

If I could only carry one knife, it would be my gerber multi pliar as that can do about anything even though its definitely nothe sharpest knife i the drawer.
If your talking strictly folders, it would probably be a combo edge endura or delica. The ones with the ATS55.

Why exactly am I running out of my own house?
Where am I running too? Am I running to a Rumble? Or some war zone? Or am I just running out for a pack of chewwing gum?

Because I would take different folders for each of those different scenarios, in fact that's how I have them layed out and labeled by my front door, along with one for a beserk Mailman, and unexpected Guests. I like to be prepared for the unexpected, because you
never know, do ya'?

BM 710 Axis lock or my cuda.

I would run out the door with a scagel folder, mint. I would then hand it to Pual Basch, and recieve my $25,000.00. check.

My titanium Crawford KFF...I feel naked without it. The blade shape will do utility chores in a pinch, slice apples, open boxes, etc. But...

using the KFF for those types of things is borderline insanity. I have a Ladybug on my keychain for that! My precious KFF is for protecting me and my family...and that's it!

Spyderco Starmate. Great steel, good design, not the "perfect" knife, but it'll allow me to do just about anything I might need.

There are only two types of people; those who understand this, and those who think they do.

Well, like some of the others said, what's the scenario?

When I was travelling on business I was in effect limited to one knife (for legality and professional reasons). In that case it was a Spyderco Dragonfly. Handled all of my cutting needs just fine.

Now, disaster of some sort where I can expect plenty of "tactical" applications, and limiting the question to what I have in my collection right now: Either my 710 Axis Lock or my serrated OE Impulse.

Other than the Sebenza . . . Maybe the Spyderco Military - serrated, 440V. And a plain-edge fixed blade - Fallkniven S1, maybe. And my Marttiini billhook. Awesome chopper with some reach, and that wide round end could do some emergency digging too. Or maybe I should get myself that Glock shovel.

No Sebenza? I'd say my Emerson Commander.
