If you worked for an advertising company and had to come up with an ad for a sebenza , what would it look like and what would it say? OR for those of us who are truly computer savy...maybe you could design one and let us all see it...now that would be cool. If it were me...id have a nice looking tan girl wearing camo , on the beach around a camp fire with the sebenza cutting a steak ,,,under the ad it would say...THE SEBENZA FROM CHRIS REEVE.....NOTHING COMES CLOSE.

It would be a Sebenza point down, stuck in the middle of a pork chop:
"Sebenza, the other white meat"
:D

"Sebenza"
When something is this good
Why bother with the other guys stuff.
Then have a pic of a Sebbie stuck through someone elses blade, :). maybe this is why Mike won't let me do the adds for the store hehe.

Mine would be a color page spread with the left side being a plain Sebenza and the right side a wood inlayed Sebbie (Curly Maple and Damascus blade?) facing each other with the blades crossing each other slightly...(To be asthetically pleasing the plain could be a lefty, but doesn't half to be...)

Then I would have a background that consists of a camping or hiking scene on the left that blurs/blends into an office or boardroom type of setting on the right. this background is of course behind the two knives......

The caption would read..."From The Outdoors To The Office, A Sebenza Fits."

Fifteen years ago Levis had an ad campaign showing people from different walks of life wearing their jeans on the job (the one I remember best was a Rodie for the Dead). This would be a good style of promotion, we could each do a different one for the company that was very personalized.

My ad would be a split photo/screen on one side by itself would be a Sebbie with the caption "The Best". The other half would be a pile of knives, including BM, Spydie (sorry Sal), Al Mar, etc... with the caption "The Rest".

Here's a couple more ideas using the same split photo/screen. The first has a caption that reads: "Sebenza, we stand out from the crowd" or you could say "Sebenza, stand out from the crowd". Can't decide which sounds better.

For the text........"Sebenza......when it's time to really get to WORK!"

Any ideas?

I like the idea of using the same person doing different things with different knives. He could be carring a Mnandi at work, then fixing somethings at home with a small classic wood, and then working outdoors with a large plain Sebbie. The slogan "There's a Reeve knife for every person, for every job" Okay, maybe something a little more catchy, but you get the point.

what did you think about it?

Looks good, I'd change the title to:

"Idaho: Not just for potatoes anymore"

and leave the rock stuff out.
