Alright guys,
Out of boredom, I decided strip the clip on my BM 710. It's the plain edge, uncoated D2 version.
Okay, I'm holding the clip, screw side up, sanding away, and there is a tiny jagged strip of the coating that WILL NOT come off. Upon closer inspection, there is something stamped across the clip.
If you are holding the clip with the triangular, screw side up, the stamp is right where the metal bends, below the screw holes. It's so shallow that if the coating was still on the knife, it might not even be noticeable. You can barely feel it if you run a finger nail across it.
Now, I MUST know what it says!!
If you have a 710, you have stripped your clip, and you have a microscope or even a magnifying glass, please look for this stamp and let me know.
Thanks guys!
