I'm in an unusual predicament. The AC plug broke out of the back of one of our laptop computers. It's a Compaq Presario 700. What I need is to have the battery charged a couple of times in order to download some files. Might only need to have charged once. . . not sure. I have a good battery, it just isn't charged. If you have access to this same computer and are willing to give my battery a charge, I'll pay for all of the shipping and throw in a Busse Combat Skeleton Key ($106.95 with S&H).

How about I give you a new battery?

You would need to wait 5 days for it to get there though...;)

While I can't charge the bat using a spare charger I can remove the hard drive from the laptop and burn your files onto a CD-ROM so that you can get your info onto any other computer. A second alternative would be to order a Laptop to Desktop adapter from one of the following sites (There are many others):

This would allow you to attach the laptop hard drive to a desktop system as a second hard drive.

Jerry.....I got the battery around 10:00 am and it went right on the charger!I'll have it out to you later today,after charge is complete.
Thanks for the Skeleton Key...great little blade,have to get someone to do a sheath,might even replace my AS as everyday carry.Thanks again.
 
Jerry.....the battery has been charged and shipped back......you should get it in a couple days.If you should need a recharge just send it back or I can send you mine,I can do without it for a few days.:)
