I just went hiking today. It was pretty rugged, and there was a lot of scraping. And this knife isn't too bad for that kinda stuff but there was one thing I noticed. The sheath is absolutely terrible. It's very awkward, it isn't very secure at all, and it gets caught on everything. Lastly, there is a very good chance, it can get caught in a way that the strap holding the knife in can come unfaceted and the knife can fall out. I highly suggest fixing the sheath or making your own.
But, the knife got it's job done. But I still think you could get a better knife from a better company.
