I will be recieving my EU-17 Magnum within the next week or so and I would like to get some information. This is just a heads up so I know what to expect from this awsome blade.

1. How does this knife feel in your hand?
2. What was the sharpness like when you received it?
3. How effective a chopper is it when compared to a (straight and ergo) Battle Mistress?
4. Can this blade be used accurately for delicate work, i.e. for skinning?
5. How much does this knife weigh?
6. What type of sheathing system do you have for it?
7. Overall, how would you rank this knife as opposed to other Busse (or other) knives you own?

Thank you everyone for the information.

I agree! Any idea how long shipping will take to my location from Texas? The knife/sheath were sent Thursday morning.

1. How does this knife feel in your hand?

Very very good. If I ever have a Busse custom made I want this handle on it.

2. What was the sharpness like when you received it?

Very sharp. I could make it sharper, but I wont: it's a big chopper after all.

3. How effective a chopper is it when compared to a (straight and ergo) Battle Mistress?

Don't own either of those knives. It chops better than my Swamp Rat Ratweiler.

4. Can this blade be used accurately for delicate work, i.e. for skinning?

Maybe an elephant? It's fine for food prep, or other such similar semi detailed work, but I wouldn't want to skin with it.

5. How much does this knife weigh?

A lot less than I thought it would. Everyone who has picked mine up has been surprised how light it is for the size.

6. What type of sheathing system do you have for it?

Black right handed leather sheath from Dwayne. Beautiful sheath, as always.

7. Overall, how would you rank this knife as opposed to other Busse (or other) knives you own?

Prefer it to my SFNO or Chris Reeve Project I.

Now, Peter, count to 10,000, and think calm thoughts. Your knife will arrive, eventually.

David

Thanks so much for the info., I really appreciate it. Yes I know it will arrive but the problem is the "eventually" part!
