...you should check out Lynn's new discussion forum. There are quite a few of us BF members who hang out there (in addition to hanging out here at BF, of course

) We are currently choosing between some really cool options that Lynn is willing to do with a couple of his most popular models. Very intriguing. There are also great reviews of Griffith knives, and the usual good-natured banter that knife knuts always have.

Take a look, and join in! Here's the link: http://pub5.ezboard.com/blynngriffithknivesforum
Hope to see you there, and again, this is not any attempt to compete with Bladeforums, which definately reigns supreme as the leading knife discussion forum. I'm proud and happy to be a member of BOTH forums.

Thanks for the heads-up. I visited the site but haven't registered yet. Lynn, like many of the talented makers that post here, has some great looking knives.

ptpalpha,
Your right about Lynn's site. I just won a Griffith custom leather sheath from his site just for looking around and being a member! There is alot of good info. and people there. I just happened to be checking in there and he offered to give away a custom leather sheath(that he will amke himself!) to the first member that responds to his post.It dosn't get any better than that. It is a great site. It just started a couple of weeks ago and is growing fast. I suggest that you guys click back and forth between bladeforums.com and http://www.griffithknives.com. His knives are great too. I have the Patrolman and am getting the Tracker next week.

check it out.

Shane, you lucky dog! Both on winning the sheath and on getting the Patrolman and Tracker. I have both, and really love them. Take a look at the Forum Knife that we are discussing. Sounds like an awesome knife, no matter which configuration you choose!

Been there done that!
I am proud to say that I am the owner of 2 Griffith knives

Anyone that's not familiar with Lynn or his work should check his site out. Not only does he make GREAT knives at reasonable prices, he is about the nicest guy in the world to talk knives with.
Newbie or Expert, Lynn will talk knives on any level in a manor that will make you feel welcome!

Hi Ptpalpha. This has been very atypical weather for our usually Sunny Southern Shores but it finally looks like the coming week will bring an end to the snow and ice. That means the delivery of new knives can start again ;-)

Hattie posted a neat idea the other day on Lynn's forum that I'd like to pass along. Many of us put fobs on our knives, and some put them on folders and leave it hanging out of the pocket. The idea behind this is that by grabbing the fob you can quickly and easily pull the knife from your pocket without having to reach your hand in. Hattie has taken this one step further. He took the ball out of an old PC mouse and drilled a hole through the middle, and attached this to the fob. The ball is small enough to be unobtrusive, yet the perfect size to grab hold of. And, it's kind of a rubbery compound, so nothing gets scratched! What a cool idea. Now where's my box of old "mice"?
