The testing went GREAT!

im super happy that i earned the rank of journeyman blade smith with the ABS

so if you didn't get around to see them shortly after the show opened on Friday you would have missed the whole set, and they were all gone by noon on Saturday

this was the first BLADE show that i actually got to walk around and see the show so if you missed me at my table that's where i was

Congrats Lon they look great

I wish I could have gotten around more

I would of loved to fondle them the second one from the bottom with that big belly screams cutter

thanks guys the fury of work paid off. it seems like yesterday that i was in the shop finishing them up LOL

Huge congrats Lon, They are all amazing but that second one from top to bottom just calls to me, so nice!

Congratulations Lon. Your hard work has paid off and your JS is well deserved.
I really enjoy my Brute De Forge.

Congratulations with your JS stamp!

Good looking set of knives. VERY nice wood!

Kind regards,

Jos

Congrats, Lon.
Im proud to own a Lon Humphrey Bowie and couldnt be happier with it.
Owning one of those pictured wouldnt be too shabby.

Congrats my friend!
that test wasn't so bad was it?
Jason

HA! once the knives were done no it was not bad at all. the most stressful time was when i was building them.. after that all the cards were on the table and up to the 7 masters

Jason i want to thank you again for talking to me and helping me keep my cool through out the build :)
i do think i came up with quite a few brand new swear words during that time

thanks for all the kind words guys :)
and to all that follow my work look for some Damascus in the next few months to be coming out of the shop now that the pressure is off and i can "play" again

the past year has been a lesson in stress management

when we got back from BLADE last year i had the zoning board hearing a week after we got home, a week after the hearing i started clearing a spot in the woods for the new shop. By November my variance had run out and i was finishing out the shop on the inside and praying that the snow would hold off till after i had all the equipment moved in and the money would hold out till i could get back into production

around January i was playing catch up from taking money out of the cash flow to finish out the shop then it was time to start on knives for the badger show

its been a hell of a year

Congrats Lon nixe work. Sorry I missed you down in Atlanta. You going to be in Johnstown next week?

yep Cassie and i will be there and making steel :)
