....to live by rule #9 (always carry a knife....duh)
How to start.....okay. About 3 weeks ago, I was with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend in his pickup. We were driving down a back gravel road when he lost control going around a tight corner and flipped his truck on the roof. He could climb out, I was able to squeeze loose inside (the roof caved in on my side. Apparently only the BackRack the truck had kept the roof from caving farther, thus potentially saving my life). His girlfriend was in the center (standard cab truck) and her seatbelt was jammed, she was hanging there and could not get free. Of course, guess who is (usually) prepared? Me. I reached down and unclipped my knife, and cut her free.
Thankfully, we were all okay beyond some cuts and bruises, but so many what ifs.....what if the truck was underwater....or caught fire? Luckily I was prepared and acted quickly...
The best part? My current EDC knife is a "mere" Gerber BG clip knife my wife bought me for $25. Money well spent in my book....
Always be prepared!
