If you were wondering which low-rider clip from Knife Kits would fit a Spydie,

The answer is none.

I ordered a Kydex Sheath kit from them for my Mule, and saw some of their clips in various sizes. Not all of them have the size (from hole to hole) listed that clearly, so I bought one of each guessing that maybe one would fit any of my Spydies.

None did. They won't fit the standard ZT/Kershaw sized clip either.

Oh well, you win some and you lose some - they were only a few bucks I guess.

Now to hit up STR...

You know, if a person were to buy some sheet titanium it shouldn't be too hard to work up a clip on your own. All you have to do is get the screw holes right and bending the clip would be a fairly freeform process (probably involving heat, but still).

Well, I could have told you that. I did the same experiment last year. I only found one that fit a Benchmade knife...

Well crap - maybe I should have searched first :)

Joshua - Ti requires a lot of heat to bend properly. I'd take on SS before attempting it with Ti.

These fit most Spydies with the hourglass clip (Para2, Manix2, Delica etc) with a bit of modification (screw holes aren't a perfect fit):

On some older Spydies like the C42 Viele the clip fits with no alteration.

STR is still better though ;)

How do you like that clip on that PM2? I have the green CTS-204P on order and was thinking about getting that clip ordered to put on it right away. I have to admit, it looks really good on yours.

It works really well. Carries very discretely and spring tension is good. Steve's are better, but since I don't live in the US sending a knife back and forth is a bit of a hassle. I think he has a Para2 so you might be able to order a clip without sending it in. He has his own section: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/810-STR-s-Backyard-KnifeWorks

Very nice person to deal with:thumbup:

Yes, he does have a Para2 and doesn't require you to send yours to him. He's great to talk with and will work with you to get the clip you want. Highly recommended.

But if you check usaknifemakers you will find some that fit, along with the aforementioned STR, who is a GREAT guy to deal with!!
