Go find the Swedish version of Home Dept called BILTEMA (blue coloured sign), find their bins of knives and buy their ~$10 house brand knife. I'm 99% sure they're made by Mora but branded as Biltema.

I went. I looked. I didn't buy. Now I'm very sad. Don't be like me.

What model do you think it was, because more has a model or two that cost 10$ so it wouldn't make sense to seek out these. I guess if someone was a moral collector they might want to, but I don't see any other reason.
I don't think moral knives can get any lower cost, so this 10$ knife can't be a better deal than a 10$ mora.

Well, well. I'm going to be in Sweden at the end of the month...

All I remember was that it said stainless and had a brilliant mirror finish on the bevel and edge. It shaved hairs like my Swedish friend's smaller pink mirror stainless Mora, which I believe is like a $15 knife. Not a perfect hair popper off the shelf, but a relatively quick stropping job fixes that.

There were carbon blades too which might actually hold an edge longer (
)

Cost savings aside, it would have been a cool and cheap keep sake.

They also had a 114ft $12 spool of 660lb rope... only in white. But I had to buy something. (http://vault.sfu.ca/index.php/s/lHOplzQTyQFzbVz)

Thanks for the information about a great knife value. But I must admit, coming from the USA, if I ever get to Sweden visiting a Home Depot (BILTEMA) is going to be way down on my list.
