and another five more days, i tell ya, it fought the whole way

it was the last of the snow we had for that year, and most of the next, everything was GREEN. how wrong is that?

well, maybe a dumping will come my way soon. yar.

I always wondered about those things, the tool that is. Saw one a few years ago.

I have made and slept in several Quinzees. It's amazing how much warmer they are inside then the ambient temperature outside. It's also amazing how hot and sweaty you can get building one. A lot more work than you would think.

there's videos online, but the short form is that you make a "short form" by taking one side of the mold tool and using it as a aback stop to push snow onto and mold by hand. that last bit is a teeny bit freeform, but it's fast and works well.

haha. i do the same thing with the pile of snow on the backyard. when i get home with a couple of beer, i stick 'em in there and two hours later bam! ice cold brewski. it chills it perfectly without freezing it even hours later unlike the freezer.
