IKBS Advice - Does Ceramic Make Any Real Difference Over Steel?

I have an opportunity to pick up a folder I have been seeking for a long time: a Bodega. This particular one has steel IKBS bearings in it. I know Ceramic bearings are an upgrade when you order these new from Begg (back when that was possible). My question is this: are the ceramic bearings that much better than steel? Are they worse than steel (because they wear the Ti down faster)? Does it make any difference?

Input on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Strictly talking balls here (I don't have a Bodega).... Functionally, it should not make any difference. The steel balls will be "smoother", but will wear into an oval shape after a few million actuation's.... Ceramic balls are cooler (of course), and will never wear down, in theory anyway. They're also rounder and more consistent, but we're talking deviations in millionth's of an inch here.... Since ceramic balls are ever so slightly porous, you may feel the movement of the balls in the action, but that's pretty unlikely.

It just comes down to the cool factor, something new and exotic to add to an already extravagant design - so just go with what makes you feel happy!
