IKBS Lubrication Question

So I'm going to take apart my IKBS knife but I'm not entirely sure what lubrication to use.

The knife is a Boker knife and came heavily greased from the factory, but it seemed sort of gritty to me. I want to take it apart and clean out the grease and put something else in the IKBS bearings so its smooth like my other flippers.

Does IKBS require grease? Or can I use other lubes? I noticed that Nick Shabazz uses nano oil on his boker kwaiken disassembly... Thoughts?

First time i did my ADV i used synthetic with teflon , didnt last and washed out in no time
Second time i just used wheel bearing grease , it is thicker did not make any difference in performance and seems to last better

hmm ok! like automotive wheel bearing grease?

Ya stuff i use in my trailer bearings
i think thats all that was in it from new , the bearings do all the work not much need for fancy lube really

I like Lucas Red n' Tacky...keeps the bearings from trying to escape during assembly.

Grease is easier to use for ikbs since it's sticky. It's also better in the way it doesn't attract dust. You can use a sticky oil but you may not like it as well due to those two reasons.

Nano oil is pure snake oil and Shabazz over lubes his knives. Great guy and reviews though.

HAHA ok thanks. Just what I needed to know

Wow, that is great to know. I now have a few knives with the IKBS bearing system and I was wondering what I was
going to use when the time comes around to cleaning them out. I happen to have a tube of Mobil 1 Synthetic Grease
that I didn't end up needing for a totally different application last year. I guess I just found some use for it. Thanks
for the great suggestion.
