Soon. In 24 hours from now I will be in the hospital getting ready for my kidney transplant. It would never have been possible without Bladeforums.com. I found my kidney donor here. His name is Daniel Dorn. We were friends back from long ago. We lost touch for some years and met again here. Anyway, after three years of painful dialysis there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. I just wanted to say thanks to BF and Daniel for literally saving my life.
Mandatory knife content: how can you repay someone for something like this? You can't. I am sure that the new MT ultratech Daniel is getting will be fun to play with though :D I bet this is the wrong forum for this, but it is my favorite.

Anyone else had a transplant or donated an organ? Maybe you should consider it. You could be a lifesaver...Thanks.

That's a great story. I hope it works out fine for everyone involved.

I have this irrational fear that as soon as I check "organ donor" on my driver's license, I will be killed in a car accident.

What an incredible story! You will be in my thoughts and prays as will Daniel. May God be with you during this trying time.

Best to both of you.
A lot of positive thoughts and prayers will be a long with you.

Best of luck too you Magician, and hurry up and get back to blade forums well miss you

To save one life is the same as to save the whole world. God bless you, Daniel, and I hope you both have a quick recovery.

My best wishes and a prayer that all will go well for both of you.

Thoughts and prayers go out as well, great story and courage!
Come back soon!

Best wishes to you both...Daniel is a true friend to you. Prayers with be with both of you....md

Best of luck, Magician. Daniel is indeed a true friend. Lots of relatives have difficulty making that sacrifice/gift.

May you have no rejection problems and a speedy recovery. Think what it will be like to kiss/kick that dialysis machine goodbye. To have your own body taking care of business. It will be like getting loose from a very short tether. Enjoy the new-found freedom that will bring you.

Daniel, you are some kind of friend. You've shown you're a bigger man than most of us will ever have any chance to prove. I admire you.

Good luck, and may you have a speedy recovery. To the donor;May all good things, come your way!
