Illinois newer ridiculousness.

As of late I have had a renewed interest in auto knives. While browsing the online shops, I have noticed that in many of their terms and conditions, they state that they WILL NOT ship anything to the great state of ill-annoy, regardless of qualified buyer or not. The bizarre paradox is that they just approved concealed carry for 2014, but tightened their stranglehold on pocket knives. Any thoughts???

They probably don't want blade-related homicides to overtake firearms murders in Chicago-land.

Many years ago the answer to the question " Why do you carry a razor?" was... " Because you won't sell me a gun".

My youngest brother has his Schaumburg home for sale...when that happens they will move to Texas.

Feel for you however living in free states for most of my 75 years has spoiled me.

Best.

I agree with Unk - move to a free state. :)

If you stay in Illinois, you might as well give up guns and knifes, and instead take up Illinois government approved hobbies like smoking crack, and volunteering for ACORN.

And yet not one of those restrictions will keep anyone any safer.

They approved the concealed carry by force via the supreme court decision. They fought it tooth and nail the whole way and still are.

More free state is calling your name.

I do have to admit I find humor in those california legal autos that look like teeney tiny version of a useful tool.

This is one of the reasons I like living in Arizona ( No humidity and no snow too). You can carry a firearm openly or concealed (saw a guy with a holstered, silenced pistol at the grocery). Any knife style, any length OK.

Here in Illinois, we consider your conditions "fantasyland!" :D

Our politicians are affraid we'll rise up against them. Being so honest as they are. If the state would just pay it's bills.

Indiana Joe, based on your name and location, I have to assume you are reasonably familiar with the Hoosier state. $125 buys a lifetime license to carry a handgun, open or concealed, and pretty much any knife is legal. However, if you want throwing stars, you are out of luck lol. Don't know how many people that affects.
