Please, please, please use puncatuation in your posts. It makes them readable.

Shipping from state to state through the mail is legal. Shipping out of the US is legal. Shipping assembled balis into the US is illegal and customs may get 10% or so of balis that come through air express mail.

Shipping within the US is perfectly legal. There is no need to disassemble the knife. Just use US Mail.

Yes, it is illegal to bring a balisong into some states. But that is a state law. Unless there's an obvious problem (package leaking or smoking, etc.), a package in the US Mail can only be opened by a US Postal Inspector and then only with a federal court order. But, a federal court will only issue such an order if there is reason to suspect that a federal law is being broken. But, there is no federal law against interstate transportation of balisongs. Yes, there is a federal law against interstate transportation of switchblades, but courts have ruled that balisongs are not switchblades within that law. There is another federal law that prohibits the importation of switchblades into the USA from other countries, and courts have ruled that balisongs are switchblades within that law. I know, I know. How can it be one way in one case and different in another? I don't know. I'm not a lawyer.

In the US, though, just send 'em US Mail.
