Early on Saturday morning my daughter decided to make my wife and I grandparents! This is our first so we are kinda excited. His name is Graham and everyone is fine and healthy. His arrival messed up my plans for working on knives this weekend, but on the otherhand, in a few years I will have an apprentice!

Welcome to the relm of grandfatherhood. Grandkids are need, much better then our own kids. You get to kind of rise kids again, this time without the PITA factor cutting in on the enjoyment. Plus they go home before you get tired of them. Being a grandparent is the best of both worlds. I love my kids, and wouldn't trade them for all the tea in China, and I like tea. But I've had such a great time being a grandfather, I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've got three of them now, two granddaughters and a grandson, with a question mark for the fourth. The daughter in law is feeling a little peaked in the morning, so there may be a 4th in the future.

Congratulations. Now you can spoil a child and when you're done you can give him back to his parents. :D
 
Heavy congratulations! I am glad the boy is healthy. Graham is a great name. I can't wait to have grand kids, I will remind them how we spoiled our kids, so the grandkids will put pressure on their parents. Mwuhahahaha. This is what keeps me healthy knowing that I am gonna have some real fun and get back at my kids BIGTIME!!!!!!


Anyways, way to go G-Pappy!!!!!

Congradulations! We will be welcoming or fifteenth grandchild in a few months. All but four of them are boys.
I consider my part in thier lives the most important and rewarding role in my life. I feel it is a privilege to spend time with them. I wish I did not have to work.
