After removing the serrations from that Victorinox One Hand Trailmaster, it's now the ONLY knife I carry.

Tried switching back to my old Spydie Native that I was so REALLY fond of.

No dice.

SAK back in half a day. I even needed the SAK to put the clip back on the Spydie.

Yeh, I have to touch up a bit more often, but the extra gizmos get used all the time.

Maybe I'll carry a sword just to be accepted here again.

:D

I just got a one-handed Trailmaster. Why'd you remove the serrations? Just wondering ...

They were good for slicing salami, but I like a plain edge.
Whittling with serrations makes a mess.
And I just like the plain look of straight edge.

I'd like to know how you did the deed too.

Meanwhile, what's up with the locking screwdriver blade on that Trailmaster? Is that supposed to be insurance for those of us who occasionally use it for prying? Is the tool strong enough overall to do that anyway? Inquiring minds want to know ...

The serrations on the OHTM are pretty shallow. They are pretty easy to remove by simply sharpening, I did mine on a stone just like I would have done a plain edge. After a couple of times, you can still see them, but they are not a factor as far as cutting. It is one of my favorites.
