That blade is an old forged chef's knife I bought off ebay years ago. It's awful thick (3/16") for a chef's knife and I'm turning it into a camp knife after I get most of the pits out of it.

Get some golf balls, drill them to fit the 'tang" of the file, you'd be surprised how comfy
