I'm Asking For This For Christmas!

It does look like a cool tool. What will you use it for? I hope Santa brings it for you.

I have a wealthy and generous brother-in-law who insists upon knowing what I want that I'd not likely buy for myself. Last year he gave me a Bill Moran/Spyderco. I always resist telling him what I want because I think he is outrageously generous and I feel funny about virtually asking for a specific gift, but after a few polite evasions he threatens to buy me a bunch of frozen steaks so I give in. This year I suggested a Bear Mountain Roger's Rangers Light Infantry. I'm sort of excited about it. I'm getting him some New York Giants memorabilia. This is probably getting community forum oriented so I'll close out...but Christmas and gift giving can sure be fun.

Thanks, guys. If (when) Santa comes through, I plan on doing some experimenting with the hatchet around the backyard, splitting firewood, trimming branches, etc. That should give me an idea of the blade configuration, overall feel of the tool. etc., before I have a chance to take it out in the field for some serious work. I'll let you know how it comes out!
 
Garrett wade is a little high. I'll bet you could find it a little cheaper somewhere else. Looks nice tho'
 
Thats a ice axe . I wonder how it would throw ? Its too bad axes and handles don,t work as well as hawks and handles . Its a neat design .
