It's relatively new...loaded with XP....and they've replaced just about everything. Most recently being the motherboard. At one point, they were thinking it might have been the power supply. With how long this has been going on and how badly it's been screwing up, you'd think Gateway would have given him a new computer! [Not make him assemble it himself over two months after sending one part at a time!]

I have a Gateway computer...I've had it since '98, and I still have the old MS IE '98 installed. If I had the money, I'd take this old dinosaur out, shoot it, and buy a Dell.

Gateway IS a good computer company, but Rob just had one of those FUBAR customer service interactions with them. Even the best of companies will have "spots" on their record.
I'd buy Gateway or Dell in a hearbeat (actually, I have a Gateway).
