Blade West was awesome!! Here's a little run down of Blade West.

Thursday afternoon the Skunks picked Karona and I up from the airport. Then we made our way around the airport to greet Spearhead. (Holli spent the afternoon with her family in LA.) When we arrived at our hotel Karona and I were greeted with open arms to California, a stranger asked us if we wanted to "party"!! I was a little less then nice when I told him get lost. (I've never had that happen before, freaked me out!!) LOL!! Later that night we got together with the Skunk's, Spearhead, Bravado, and Dark Nemesis and went to dinner at Chili's!!

Friday we all went to the convention center to set up, that was interesting!! Through-out the day we were greeted by customers like WTFOver(who we thank for the lovely roses:D ), Firehorse, RVO3VOM, EBlackall(thank you for the present! You'll have let me know what the name of it is!), David Brown, tyuio, and the 45 guy!! Later that night we all went to dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.

Saturday we are back at the show!! We were pleased to meet SethMurdoc, Survivor, Evolute, and Jaquin Volera(thank you for the Jack!). I know I'm missing people so don't be afraid to chime in here!! We had an awesome show Friday and we sold out on Saturday!! :) Saturday night we all went to dinner at Wolfgang Puck! That's when it happened........the induction of the hogs!! :eek: Jerry will post the hog names soon!! Saturday night Jerry, Spearhead, Karona, Shaggi, and myself stayed up until 5:30 am goofing off!! LOL!! I take that back......Karona crashed at about 1:30am, Shaggi and I kicked the guys out at 5:30am, Spearhead and Jerry drank somewhere else until 7:30am!!!

Sunday was the big day!!! Since we sold out at the show on Saturday Jerry decided he would take us out and show us Hollywood!!! First we went to the Pacific Ocean!!! Karona, Jennifer, and I were so excited when we saw the ocean that we ran straight into the water FULLY CLOTHED !!:eek: :eek::D :D Holli was like," Yeah Yeah I've seen the ocean before!!" A surfer was quite impressed with us and said that we were more fun than California girls!!! Karona and I decided we wanted to try his little boogie board........that was interesting!! LOL!! I did a little better on it than she did(WE BOTH ALMOST BROKE OUR LEGS) but we still had a blast!! My sundress took a beating!! LOL!! After that we took a stroll down Venice Beach........all's I have to say is WOW!!!:eek: :eek: Any one that's been there knows what I'm talking about!! LOL!! A totally different world than Ohio!! After that we drove down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills and then saw all of the cool sights of Hollywood!!! Awesome....that's all I have to say about that!! Freakin' awesome!!

Monday we said good-bye to everyone and headed back to the airport.:(

It was a pleasure meeting everyone and hopefully we will be back next year!! By the way.....I took some California sun home with me!!

I'm glad y'all enjoyed it.

I guess those sunsets on the Pacific
are great but I'm used to passing out
on the beach and waking up to the sunrise
somewhere between Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head. :D
 
I second everthing Blade Babe said!! Truly an Awesome trip. I'm glad they finally talked me into going.

I enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces to the names!!!! Thanks to WTFOver for the lovely roses! And to everyone for making the trip so worth wild!:eek: :eek:

Hope everyone made it home safe and sound and for those who are still on their way home, (you know who you are) :p ;), have a safe trip too.

I was born in Hollywood, and raised on Venice Beach. Nice places to visit, but... it's no accident that I moved out of the LA area.

I had a blast, too. It was great meeting all of you.

By the way, for those who haven't met the Busse crew: Blade Babe really is a babe. So is Shaggi, but Shaggi is not particularly shaggy.

For that matter, Jerry looks much better in person than in the online pictures I've seen. And Jennifer--I'd think she was still 25, if I didn't know that she's been in charge, keeping Jerry and his business in line, for the last 11 years!

All of you were REALLY nice people, good to the core, and I'm glad to have met you and spent time with you.

It was great seeing & meeting everyone. Having a show each day was definately just icing on the cake. I think it's safe to say most everyone looked forward to the social aspect equally if not more than the knives (and with the new line coming that should say a lot!).


The Busse crew and those who surround them (collector's, users, fans) are a unique group of people in my opinion that create an atmostphere unlike anything I've experienced. If you haven't gone to a show and spend some serious time with Busse people I strongly recommend it....you'll have memories that will last a lifetime.

Well, I never got to the bar, and my memory is still in question. One thing is certain: I never met a bunch of folks I liked better than the Busse and SRKW Bunch. Good folks all. The only question I have is how did Dark Nemesis get all that lipstick all over his face?

Skunk obviously did not see me running after the car after he picked you girls up. Don't you look in ya rear view stinky!?

Had to spend 4 days in some LA downtown bar drinking my missery away because I had NO IDEA WHERE THE HELL I WAS!

I feel so unloved right now, I need a hug... :(
 
Glad you all enjoyed your short stay in CA. It was great to meet you all.

I don't think it has a name, at least I haven't heard of one. It's just a laser subsurface etched lead crystal. Designs may vary...
