Please spil the bean, is that monster made with G-10, And normal Emerson components, or is it like a movie prop?

Nice photo you did to tell your story. The above photo could be captioned better by Mel Brooks for a big smile.

Yeah, it was pretty dangerous... I wanted everything. There was a desert tan super roadhouse that was just dying to come home with me... that and the super 8. And yes, the Ubr is a beast. It's a very unassuming place tucked away in a nondescript part of town. The woman who helped me was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Ha! Thanks... I almost don't want to tell, so as to not kill the mystique. That, my friend, is a very good-looking cardboard cut-out. I am pretty pleased with the way it photographed! It does look absolutely absurd!

I think I have a super 8 calling my name in the future!! I'm very jealous of your trip! I've been wanting a Super Desert Roadhouse for quite some time!

If you are ever around So Cal and I'm free, I'll head over with you! Drop me a line here.

I think Kristine helped you out. She's the best. You might've seen my wife Megan taking one of our ferocious beasts (Pomeranian) outside. Next time I'll try to be there!

I do remember her--she was going out as I was coming in. And yes, I do think her name was Kristine (the young lady who helped me); sorry, I typically remember, but I was a little focused on the cutlery! I'll be sure to let you know next time I plan to stop in--thanks.

It looks like you had a great time! That UBR is absolutely incredible. I'm glad you were able to get one for yourself finally. What's that drunk dude doing holding a Dos Equis and brandishing a knife? He looked pretty gooned up.

Great pictures and thank you for sharing!

It was a good trip and I'm glad to pick one up; can't wait to use it--I'll post more pics. My pleasure!

I'm late but, WOW, Jens. Congratz! And thanks for the pix.
Did I hear you say, Desert Roadhouse? :D

Man, I would love to take that trip. Even though I'm on the east coast. It's funny, I'd never ponder making a trip like that even for a vacation. Now I'm thinking how reasonable it is to make that trip to see the Emerson factory! Oh how the wife would kill in so many many ways.

The photo reminded me of the movie, SPACE BALLS where Brooks is explaining to Rick Morains about the power of the EMERSON, or was it the SWARTZ.

Cardboard cutout? Absurd? I believe it looks quite natural. Stop making tall tales and fold that thing closed and put it in your pocket.
