Its been a while since I was here , got busy when some frinds had trouble in the bushfires down south , and then again when up north went underwater for the 2nd or 3rd time running ... I think they had 3 once in a hundred years floods one after the other .

anyway bad picture time

I got some nice toys I got to play with , both serious work and a lot of fun , I apologise for the cruddy pics

blades of java do a dammed fine job of converting leaf springs to well balances extremely useable knives

more and better pics coming later .
 
Good to see you here mate. I wondered a couple of times whether your not being was under your control.
 
:) it kinda was , and largely wasnt things are back to normal and everyone that needed my help is helped and Im burned out abit by it all but its all good
 
Glad your back without any major damage. Did you get to use any knives much? Do tell!
 
Id love to have a heap of stories to tell about them , but sadly , I dont .

I didnt even think to take a camera along .

I did use my folder , a lot , and picked up a 2 dollar paring knife that turned out to be dammed good value tho :)

on the flip side , the bigger blades were usefull for stress relief , and I more than impressed with them , tho , to accomodate my sloppy handling , Im going to file a bit of the carving off the golock , but the khuk , hey , Im a convert now :) , ya cannot go past them , even my mum ( ya , Im near 40 and still living with , or caring for anyway my mum ) kept pinching it to use for slicing the meat up and stuff .

I had intended to write a peice about the fires , but I dunno , its a bit raw still and I wasnt even involved more than helping out some friends after it was over , they lived it . for most insurance is taking care of them , but a lot of folk was just renting , living off paycheck to pay check and lost the little they had , god/s help them .

warzone dont come close to what it looked to me .
