I'm back from my trip, saw alot of cool stuff. Hell's Canyon is amazing. Camped out a night in Payette Ntl Forrest and hit the Seven Devils.I climbed She Devil, camped on Sheep lake, climbed He Devil, put my name in the register on top, lost the trail on the way down and found myself staring at a 1000 foot rock drop with no way up, down or out, with an 80 pound pack on my back. I had my finger on the Spot button but I figured if I got myself in I could get myself out. It's amazing what panic will do to you, and what you can do when you reason through emergencies with some effort and perseverance. Took about two hours to get down but other than scrapes and bruises and some shredded fingertips I made it out OK. Sore all over but I've got half a gallon of bryer's reeses ice cream in front of me so life is good. I need a new pair of socks... and my Gerber Prodigy is shredded. that 440C chips like crazy but I gotta say it did what I needed it to do... it's just not going out again until it gets some serious belt grinder time. I threw my tomahawk for about two hours this weekend, and got a good video, I was sticking it consistently at 10 yards. All you anti-knife throwing nazis can watch and cry. I even got my Ontario machete to stick once! my second try. I didn't have the camera running, and figured if i did it once I could do it again so i turned the camera back on, threw it 10 more times with no luck. ah well... I put my Ontario Old Hickory pigsticker style thrower through the works too, it held up nicely. RC5 isn't here yet, grrr USPS, but I should have a Koyote Leuku and a Rc5 in the mailbox tomorrow. Will make for a good day.
