  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I'm back guy's...we had a little snow storm blow thru here Fri. night while I was at work (2nd shift) by the time I got outside of the mines the Snow was really comming down & the roads were rough, Trees & power lines down everywhere & cars stuck in by the road side ! my 30min drive home took 1.5hrs !!! Whe nI got home I had No power or phone. My N-laws down the road (4mi) still had power so the wife took the boys down there & thats were we stayed the last 3 nights. Sorry no Pics :( They are calling for another snow for us around Wed~Thur ! We will see:D & Yes I had my B.O.B with me along w/my hunting boots, ins. Bib overalls & Coat, gloves, boggin, ColdSteel TrailBoss axe, BK9, Helle FireCat, RAT Izula, 15' tow chain, 2 flashlights...etc
I was ready ;)

Glad to hear you were prepared. Hope everything gets back to normal quickly. We had tons of snow here also.

I'm on Vacation all this week so I'm going to try to hit the hills for a good winter hike & get some cool pics !

Sorry bout your electric,my lights stayed on,i kinda wish they went out so i could try my lantern and new camp stove.............GRIN

We got bout 6 inches,my son is out on humpday school he is 17,we might go to natural bridge for a hike........

We got hit by the same snow! Ended up with about 10 inches over all.

We were lucky enough to keep our power on, but I ran both tubs full of water, bought some drinking water, and stocked up on lamp oil just incase.

Our biggest problem is downed trees. I've had to cut two off our road so far. Good thing I'm traveling with my Jonsered Bushcraft saw!

Hope the next storm isn't too hard on ya!

It was snowing a little when we went in but it was a blizzard when we came out.

Our train back to WV was cancelled on Sunday. Luckily our friends we stayed
with were driving to WV the next day because the next train was FRIDAY.

When we got home our power was on but it broke trees everywhere. Cracked a huge limb out of my box elder in the back yard. (good excuse to use the hatchets)
