So I needed to take a little break because I was moving across the country, but I am getting close to being settled in the new area. Unfortunately most of my shaving gear is on a moving truck some where between BC and eastern Ontario so I am stuck shaving with my travel brush, proraso green soap, and either my single ring or rocket for a few more weeks. I did have my EJ89L out for the move, but I converted a coworker and he was kind enough to let me stay at his place for a few days. He fell in love with the EJ so as a thank you I let him keep it.
Now I find myself wanting another modern DE razor and am torn on what to get, another EJ89L or a Merkur open comb. Has anyone used both and what was your comparison of them. I love my vintage Gillette open combs but can only use them a few times in a row before my face starts to get irritated. Only having 2 razors to choose from sucks
but soon I will have all my babies back, save for the one I gave away. This weekend will be flea market searching, new ground to cover and maybe some new treasures to find:thumbup:
