Been doing some travelling and have had some non knife biz that has been quite distracting.......

It was really good to see so many of you at Blade........Always a good time because the place is full of knife people.......The other major show for me is SHOT and although I enjoy it for many reasons BLADE is kinda like being at a big party where you do a little business between drinks as opposed to shot where it is ALL business with a drink and chit chat every once in a while......

I had a really stupendously incredibly good time in Argentina.........The hunting is spectacular, the people are great and the food is so uniformly good that the AIRPORT food is edible. ........I am thelightweight in the bunch I go with and one day I expended over six hundred 20ga. Shells......Way too much fun.....Wheeeeee....!!!!!!......

The summer storms downed a bunch of trees........All BIG stuff........And to answer the question which Becker knives did I use.......I used a BKK11 to baton thru the four huge (18-24 in dbh) pines and the smaller oaks and the other stuff all over the Beckerhead camp and the roads and the range....Job accomplished in less than Two hours.....NOT.......This was Stihl work with the addition of a lot of diesel, hydraulics and way too much sweat......Off the range and and Beckerhead camp we burned probaly five to ten TONS of tops and doughty logs.......Damn it HAS been warm at my house.....

I am at Phil and Lola Gibbs's place and am headed over to the A.G. Russel Knife Event......Be back in Tennessee on tuesday and will be back on deck......

All Best.....

Nice to see your safely back sir...

I actually fell for your BK-11 joke (haha) and was like "Wah?! Did I read that right?......Oh damn, I cant believe I fell for that! "

Glad ur back and that u also and had a great time. Ya' also had me going with the bk11 joke until I saw 18-24in lol.

Welcome back chief...:p
I would have tried the 9 on them logs myself, LOL (fell for it till I saw the 18" too....)

600 rounds:eek: I can feel the pain from over here!!!! You must have a compression plate at the butt of your gun with a really awesome recoil pad, or you simply are the Man!!!

and I thought 100 rounds was fun.... sounds like you had a blast (literally)... with a TON of work to come home to, I mean you went on a relaxing;) vacation you didn't expect to come home to rest did you??

btw, what were you guys hunting??
welcome back uncle e...

take care,
rob

I was all in on believing till he said 2 hours, Chuck norris would have needed 2 hours. Tell us the truth, it took you slightly more than an hour and the rest of the story is true! You just didn't want to hurt Chuck's pride,
Right?

Sounds like you drank enough water this time. Glad to hear it was a good time.
Hope there was no major damage that couldn't be easily remedied at your place, and I look forward to coming out again.

Hope all is well with you boss, and its nice to see you back on.

iirc, he has a mega visco-elastic pad under his shirt/jacket. heh.

as well, iirc, he's out there murderating pigeons and parakeets - they're AMAZING pests down there, and eat a TREMENDOUS amount of crops - huge damage - so the locals EAT the birds :D why not?

How are your shoulders? And yes, both of them. I didn't realize that you're ambidexterous. 600 rounds! Flexeril, anybody?

Great to have you back Ethan! It was good times hanging out with you at Blade!

Welcome back into the world, Jefe!

Yo.......

The Bladeite is right.....Dove, and pigeon mostly......btw 600 shells is not unusual.......My friend Will Fennell shot over a thousand birds in ONE DAY two years ago on a bet......Twelve and twenty eight ga.......I cheat by using a piece of 1/4 in thick Sorbothane in the big pocket of a 511 shirt held in place with a piece of carpet tape.....Using a an auto Berretta is a plus.......Argentine shells are loaded with government made powder and thus very low recoil......

Glad I got a laugh.....Louis Lamour frequently talked about the great value placed on an axe man's abilities......I felled trees with axes and a cross cut saw as a youth and remember the first chain saw I saw in use had a four cycle lawn mower engine and took two guys to use and three to start it......I love the axe but and keep current but, for serious work. As long as I have gas, barlube and spare parts......rm,rmmm, rmmm.......

Gotta hed over to the show.....

Ethan

Good to have you back -- wish I could have gone to the show this weekend.
