I'm back in the states, driving my car and eating fast food again. It feels surreal. I hear certain noises and swear it's the utility trucks sucking up sewage from the port-o-johns, and then I remember where I am. Funny.

My wife slapped me with the "I want a divorce" talk, and that has been rough. She threw it at me while I was still in the sandbox. Part of me wants to be furious at her. But part of me is sympathetic, because she is dealing with the loss of her father. So I'm living in a transient status, staying with a friend and storing my things in storage for the time being.

SleepyBadger, I had to mail the 7 home to myself from over there. I keep pulling up the tracking info, and it says it's still sitting over there. It was already pre-cleared for customs so I don't know what's taking so long, but it's been over 2 weeks and it's still sitting there. All I can do is hope for the best.

It's time to start working on the collection again. I'm not getting the truck I said I was going to get, because I'm not going to have a house or furniture once the divorce is over. But my car is paid off now so that's a plus.

All I can say is aside from the marital issues I'm dealing with, it's good to be back. I'd like to thank you all again for the support and the care packages I received, whether from you or from those close to you. It made things nice, always on the edge of my seat when the mail truck showed up. Take care and talk to you all again soon.

Welcome back sir, glad to hear you are safe and sound. I hope the 7 served you well over there, I'm betting it will make its way back to you one way or another.

Welcome back, and thanks for serving for us! Sorry the return had been less than stellar, though. Nobody wants to deal with that, no matter how expected or amiable its supposed to be.

Welcome home Mr. Williams!

Welcome back man. It could be worse, I've seen plenty of buddies come back to an empty house & bank account.

Its Alaska so your probably right. I didn't take the picture, it was posted by someone on BCUSA. I cleaned it up and edited it a little and have been saving it. This post made me remember it.

Welcome back. Thanks for your service. OohAhh.

I had a friend who's wife met him at the airport with the kids when he came home from the sandbox & watched as he was served with divorce papers while everyone else was getting hugs & kisses. She then took the kids & left, without letting them see their Hero Dad !!!

It sucks to be sure but keep a positive attitude & your chin up. It too will pass with time. ;) :D

My parents had divorced when i was 3, all I can tell you is good luck with your new life, and never let your kids away, they are yours too. So grasp then in your arms every change you have.

Liveyour life and carry on.

With a becker for help at every turn.

That story sucks more than most I've heard in a while. I'll bet a dollar to a brick watch that some heartless, opportunistic bastard poached her while she was home alone.

Thank you for you service to our country Mr. Williams, and hang in there. IF you still love your wife then fight for-----------go on the offense. I won't air all my dirty laundry, but will say that I speak from experience. It's a hard fight, but if you still love the girl, don't throw in the towel quite yet. Feel free to PM me if you want to talk. :)

Thank you Mr. Becker for chiming in personally. Thank you to the rest of you for your support. Regardless of how things pan out, it's not what I had planned for, and when my plans get thrown out the window it throws me off big time.

Glad your safe brother, seems like a trend! Im still here and am now in the final stages of my divorce. It will be good man just think, more time in the woods and no nagging! Anyways good luck man! I got r&r in november then back to finish about 6 months, then home for good. Cant waiy for that surreal feeling...
