...Love to see some more of your guys blades! :)

^ that's great! Nice collection...

Care to elaborate? Who made your blades, are they all blunt edged, or are some fully sharpened?

What style of forms are you and your friend practicing? ...looks like fun! :D

Hey BryFry, why does that claymore look like a perfect cross between the two models that Generation2 makes? It's really freaking me out. Details please.

Hahah, I'm not sure...

I bought that claymore off the internet about 8 years ago, and for the life of me I can't remember who makes it!:o

It's not a top notch high end sword, but it seems to be pretty decent carbon steel, holds an edge pretty well.

...Pumpkins and water bottles fear it!!! :D

That one of yours looks quite nice! -Man these things are big, can you imagine swinging one of these all afternoon in actual combat?!? ...Those Highlanders were some tough SOB's!

It has been kind of a long week and I just found this thread. I thought I would post a couple of pictures with some of my swords. I've been collecting for a long time and they are all kind of old but they are in good shape and still work well.

Sweet collection! I love the look of an old, used and worn sword.

-Any idea which is your oldest, and when it might have been made?

The top four swords in the lower picture date from the late 1700's to early 1800's. The bottom sword is from the late 1800's. The sword at the top of the upper picture is an 1822 British pattern but could have been made later. The next two down are 1906 US sabers and the lower two are British Constable swords from the 1800's. The best feeling saber is the 1822, but the best feeling sword in the whold bunch is the third one down in the lower picture. It is light, fast, sharp, comfortable in the hand and solid enough to do some serious cutting.

The blade shown below is the oldest though. It is from around 1547 according to the signature and date on the tang. It came in WWII mounts.

That blade was made by Al Massey and the cable damascus hilt was made by Glen Parrell. Both are from Nova Scotia but (I believe) neither of them have web sites anymore.

A couple . . .

Shouldn't have sold this one, but . . .

Gage Gladius. This one ISN'T going to be sold.

Windlass basket-hilt claymore from circa 1997. It's surprisingly sturdy. Windlass gets a lot of criticism, and it's often earned, but I've been overall pleased with this one.
