I'm confused about the endura.

Spyderco's page says that it is ATS-55 steel, but I was under the impression that the new model lightweight delica AND endura both had vg-10 blades. spyderco.com only lists the delica as having vg-10 though.

as for other stores online, I have seen them labeled as aus-6, ats-55, and vg-10 depending on where you look.

also: The stainless steel endura is thinner than the FRN endura correct? does the frn's handle have much flex to it? my ladybug has quite a bit of give when you squeeze the handle but I always chalked this up to it being so small.

thanks,
ian

Spyderco.com is a little out of date.

The new Lightweight Delicas and Enduras are indeed VG-10, but the older ATS-55 models are still available.

The all stainless Endura is quite a bit thinner than the FRN but I find the FRN much more comfortable in the hand. I've got my FRN in my hand right now and I'm squeezing the heck out of it, only a very slight flex in the center of the handle and honestly, it makes the grip feel even more secure. Hope that helps.

2001 Endura and Delica FRN: ATS-55

2002 Endura and Delica FRN: VG-10

Endura and Delica SS: AUS-6
