...with the situation overseas, am I still able to order a knife from the HI shop on Yahoo? I want to support them, but I don't want to be putting in an order if they simply cannot make anything right now.
 
What I have done, although I don't know if it is appropriate, is sent emails to Yangdu and inquired as to whether she had a certain knife on hand.
I browsed through the on line, and then emailed about a 12 inch AK, as I had a similar question to yours.
Yangdu happened to have one on hand, so I bought it.
Yangdu is absolutely great to deal with.
Retail stores should be forced to go to her and learn what true customer service really is.
 
I'm glad to hear that Yangdu is still the wonderfully helpful woman that she was a few years ago when I first bought HI products. I'll inquire via PM or e-mail. Thanks!
 
Generally auntie keeps stock for the Online Store updated. If you order from there and she is out of stock, she will let you know and will be able to give you an idea when you can get what you ordered. It is perfectly acceptable to Email her to inquire about a model you may be seeking.
