I think I am caught up.
Once upon a time I picked up a BK9, (purchased at a gun show). It came with a Remora BK13. I was wanting a large bushcrafting/chopping/batoning blade. It was awesome, couldn't beleive how great it was and why I had not picked one up sooner. Without a doubt the 9 was much lighter and nimble that I ever thought it would be from pictures and reviews.
Next thing I know my lovely bride gave me a gift certificate for Valentine's Day, that was just enough to pay for a BK11. This blade has been a constant companion to me since I picked it up. Without a doubt my most used Becker blade yet. Makes me wonder if I would like the BK14, at this point it would feel like I was cheating on my Necker.
Then along came my Birthday. Once again my wonderful woman shows up with a BK2 for me. This blade I had looked at many years ago and thought why would you need something so beastily. After the 9, 11, and all the wonderful reviews I was showing interest in this blade and she knew it. Once again after having the BK2 for a while, it does not really feel like a heavy blade. If I am doing lots of carving and splitting, after a long session I start to notice the weight and some hand fatigue..."wimp" shouts a bystander. But what an awesome blade!!!!
So I thought WOW, I have a great Becker collection (2,9,11, and 13), what else would I ever need. Then came along the LE BK10. I can't live without that, that thing is cool and has an awesome story of where the blank came from and all. No Beckerhead number, I hope it doesn't sell out. I ordered mine about two days I think after they went public. Once again when it arrived I fell in love again. Did I mention, when I went to pay for it with my burn money, the wife gave it to me for our anniversary present.:thumbup:
So after another Becker blade that turned out great, I was wondering......what's all the hype about that 7???? I mean I've got the 2 and the 9. What purpose does the 7 really serve. I also have the 10. So today I was at my local Kabar dealer, and next thing I know I'm ripping him off and trading some green pieces of paper for some sharpened, hardened, awesomeness, aka BK7. This blade once again suprised me, I had it in my melon it was a shortened BK9. I have not cut anything with it yet, besides some arm hair. But it is not a small BK9, has a hole nother feel to it. Can't wait to use it a bit.
Just love the Becker handles on the full size blades, and like I said earlier the BK11 is Great also.
Which brings me to this. The current production offerings that I don't own are the BK5, BK3, and the BK14. As of now I've held all of them except the BK14. None of them really jump out at me, at this point. Now once I beat on my 7 for a while, will the 3 and 5 start to look pleasing to me due to the fact I don't own them yet?? I know one of theTweeners and the Machax will without a doubt make a home at my shack once they come out.
I am pretty darn sure I am not done with Beckers, just thought it would make a catchy title.
Oh and here are some pics.
Notice the new box at top!!!!

Ain't she pretty, had never been touched by human hands until it got to its Daddy.....hey this is my dream. Now I gotta go knock the pretty off of it.

And who in the heck say Beckers ain't pretty. The damn things are awesome and addictive. To top it all off, name me one other maker as large as Becker/Kabar that you can meet and talk with like you can with this bunch. Well I know you can with the others, but that ain't Becker, so don't even mention them.

Thanks for reading fellows.
The title is meant in a tongue-in-cheek fashion.
