Im either crazy or this is real...Emerson clips magnetic?

Whenever i buy a new knife the first thing i do is remove the pocket clip and bend it forward a little bit to give me some extra retention as my work pants are very slick, well i just did it to my brand new cqc-15 and the clip is magnetic, I took out the screws and went to sit them on the table beside the clip and they stuck to the clip, so i lifted them up and sure enough they are magnetic. Anyone else have this expierence, or know why they are like that? I've never noticed it before so maybe it's just this clip either way it was pretty freaking cool.

I just tried my edc and the clip is non-magnetic. Are you sure it is not your 'magnetic' personality, Allen?

it's only on my cqc-15, i tried it on all my others, the cqc-15 is also a week old. I've heard of magnetic blade steels because they are recycled steel and had to do something with something and caused the metal to become magnetic, maybe the clip is just recycled steel who knows.

The vast majority of stainless steel is magnetic, some more then others.

There were probably electromagnets involved in the manufacturing of the clips, and residual magnetism may have retained in the clips. It will weaken and eventually disappear.
