Funny how it worked out.

I thought being laid off would have made me just churn out the knives, but not at all. It seemed like something was forcing me away until the right frame of mind was there again.

Expect to see some new blades from me soon now that I'm gainfully employed again. I'll probably even buy a knifemaker's subscriptions now.

Know how it feels, works been in a hell of a mess and I'm in the middle of a transfere. Got orders and have been making progress, but not nearly as much as I would normaly have. Got a rig assignment and suddenly productions way up.

You know what really bites?

My new workplace blocks bladeforums and newgraham :grumpy: and I was brought in to be part of the corporation's strategic technology leadership team.

It would be interesting to know if people here tend to make knives more when they feel positive (not motivated, that's different) or if they tend to work on knives to feel more positive.

Personally I think working on knives amplifies and reflects whatever mood you are in to begin with.

Depression doesn't make for productivity...
Glad to see you're on track again.
As for getting access at work, maybe be real nice to the IT weenie, and you can get a route around the net-nazi content filter on the proxy server...

Knife making is almost a frame of mind, for me. There has to be some spark, driving force, what ever you want to call it, or not much happens. Glad to hear you are up and runnig again. Fred
