I'm feeling the itch for a new knife. What am I missing/should get?

I have:

Fixed:
Gerber Strongarm
Morakniv Robust
Tramotina Bolo
Tramotina 18"

Folding:
Spyderco Delica
Spyderco PM2
Kershaw Shuffle 2
Swiss Army Fisherman

I'm forgetting something but that's the majority of them. I'm thinking an Esee or a Benchmade of some sort but I'm not married to it. I'd like to get either another fixed blade or bali, though I do like the looks of the bugout.

Please give me some thoughts. Thanks

ZT 0609. Carries beautifully, 3.4 inch 20cv blade. It feels like a small knife in the pocket and a big knife when cutting.

It's a great slicer, beautiful bronze titanium handles. Excellent action.

I cant say enough positive things about it. Such a wonderful combination of performance, comfort, and beauty.

Bradford Guardian 3 or 3.5. The Guardian 3 is great. Mine is in M390 with the 3D scales, and unless I am traveling to areas that consider a fixed blade an illegal dangerous weapon (like yesterday, silly city of Lynnwood), I carry it on my belt. :~)
It takes an edge easily, keeps it quite a while, and feels nice in the hand. The sheaths are comfortable as well.

full

(Sorry about recycling a pic from a while back)

The Guardian 3.5 is on my list. Unfortunately, I just emptied the knife fund, delaying the purchase a bit. :(

Enjoy

An ESEE 5 or 6 would be a good compliment to what you already have.

As for folders, that's a little more difficult. You already have two of the four most suggested Spydercos, and I'm not the one to give advice on them, anyway.

The Grip and Bugout are both solid choices if you want to get a Benchmade, and a lot of people here like the 940 and Presidio.

I'm going to suggest you check out Lionsteel. Their offerings are a little different, and since your collection already includes a wide variety of knives, you may find something to like. Be aware that Lionsteel is high-end Spyderco expensive, though.

A good traditional slipjoint is something you don't have and are missing out on.
Stainless or carbon steel you gotta try one out.

A Buck 119 special is also a good one to add to your list to fixed blades.

I know a lot of people love the Bugouts and how light they are. I am not one of them. Feels like a cheap toy to me, even if it is a fine cutting tool. It seems like a fine cutting tool, cleverly disguised as a cheap toy.

I love my Griptilian, but I didn't like it enough to even carry it before I put G10 scales on it. With G10 scales it's one of my absolute favorites.

Personally not a fan of Esee.

I agree that a Benchmade or a ZT would be a nice addition, if you pick the right model.

Wow, ok. So I'm seriously considering the ZT. I'd completely forgotten about them so I'll definitely look into it more.

And that Tank looks like a beast! Might need to research that sucker

Ultratech if your state allows it. It's impossible to not smile when you deploy and use an OTF. Very fun change of pace for me as a knife guy.

If we are talking strictly Benchmade, I vote Bugout or Mini Crooked River

ZT? Out of current production I think everyone should try a 0562.

Fixed - Fallkniven F1 is my boring favorite, but you should own a Becker.

Get a Bugout and you won’t regret it !
Had one sold it and missed it since letting it go . Very handy light weight knife that’s a great worker knife .
You can pair it with anything and will always want to carry it becomes it’s so carry friendly and yet useful .
Here’s the new Ranger green I just picked up and love it !!

A price range would help narrow down your choices.

If you go ESEE, I'd recommend the G10 handle scales. I found them much more comfortable then the regular scales and the price is about the same really. I have an ESEE 6.

Another brand to check out. Cold Steel. Cheesy marketing but a solid knife with solid lock. Ultimate Hunter, Recon, or Code 4 are nice knives.
