I ordered a Kothimoda from Uncle Bill today.

I am already excited......

Any other owners out there?

How excited should I be?

I have one and it's a handsome work of toolmaking art. Besides the obvious - the silver laden scabbard - the khukuri itself is as fine as any I own.

I wouldn't get too excited just yet - save some of it for later.

I have a rag handy when I look at the pics on the HI website to wipe up the drool.......
 
It will only be my second Khukuri, but I figure, heck why not spoil myself a little, spend some of my overtime dough on something really nice......
 
As one who has 2 kothimodas(one khukuri and one katana) and a 3rd in transit, you will definitely like what you will eventually receive. Personally I have not been disappointed unless one takes into account the wait to get the item through Customs.

You will not be dissappointed except where an inexplicable flareup in HIKV occurs...
