I'm going to get in trouble at Blade

Well, it's that time of year again where the countdown to the Blade show in Atlanta has everyone on pins and needles. To date I've been pretty safe at Blade. After all my primary interest is swords and the ones at Blade are typically expensive enough (if they are good quality) and junky enough (if they are low quality) to keep my money firmly in my wallet. To date all I've bought at Blade was a flashlight (nice little LED Lenser) and a Kukri (as a present for the gentlemen that sends me a V.I.P. pass every year). However this year I've been more and more interested in pocket knives. I can't help thinking I'd like get my hands on a microtech scarab de and some benchmades and some crkts and... hmmm

So, are you guys planning on buying anything? Everything?

OOOOOO This will be my first blade show... I am saving, hopefully I will have about 1500 or so... I have a list of things I want.

Another Emerson
Another Benchmade
Two Spyderco's (Don't have one yet)
ATC VTAC
a MOD
a Strider

Damn thats more than a grand there isn't it. Bah... My brother is also able to come and he is going to be looking at a few utility blades that will last him through Army Airborne. My list may change a little though, you know once I actually get there and start holding things :).

Needs to be a sign up front as you enter that says:

"Abandon all Hope to ye who Enter"

It took me two years of saving to be able to go to Blade my first time.
I finally got there and was in awe. Incredable knives everywhere.
I only spent about half of what I brought to the show. I just couldn't bring myself to spend what I had worked so hard to save.
I got home and started to kick myself for not spending every dime I had. I had saved that money for just that purpose...it was my "mad " money. I could go crazy with it and the wife couldn't get mad.:D
The next show I left with $12 and some change.:p

I'll be driving from San Antonio to Columbia, SC that weekend, and it's awfully tempting to plan to stop by Blade for a while. Unfortunately, I don't think we'll make it to Atlanta until later in the day on Sunday, so the schedule doesn't really work out. Maybe next year...

Oooooooh, this is my first BLADE show too!!

It will be my fifth in a row. Always worthwhile even if you don't buy a thing.

Not buy anything at the Blade Show?!?!

Heresy!

This'll be my 4th annual pilgrimage to Atlanta. Every time I leave, I get the oddest looks from the guy that x-rays my bags at the airport.

I have been to every Blade Show since it moved to Atlanta. Easy as I live in NW Georgia and have friends who live in Atlanta. Even when I was in the Army I would take leave around it.

Spending all my money I bring is normal. The bad thing is knowing where all the ATM's are and the closest bank you bank with.

This will be my 3rd pilgrimage to Atlanta in June and I plan on spending every penny of cash I bring. Plus I'm on a first-name basis with the ATM machine down the hall in case things get a little nuts. :D

Last few years I have purposely not gone to the Blade Show in Atlanta because I spend too much money. It is like a gun show except you don't have to have background checks done or fill out any forms. It is cash and carry as these things should be. I will be attending this year and looking forward to it.

22 you are doomed doomed! You shall end up in more trouble then I...
