Hey guys,
I really love this knife. I think it is the best knife Spyderco has ever made. It is very light and easy to carry but when all 4 inches of BG-42 steel come flying out and the liner lock ( nicest liner lock I have ever seen ) goes ker-thunk and locks up like a vault door- you are ready to cut just about anything. It's kind of like carrying a short light saber. This thing is so sharp it's like to hell with splitting hairs, I think you could split micro-fibers with it. Sharpest knife I have ever owned or seen. I now know why BG-42 has the reputation it does, utterly amazing steel. By the way- Did I mention that I love this knife? I think if you could swing hard enough it feels like you could slice right through a Buick with this thing!
I carried this for about a week and a half and completely fell in love with it to the point that I pulled it out of my pocket and tucked it away because it was just too nice of a knife to let it get banged up. The knife is in excellent condition which you can see in the pics below. Blade and body are perfect on it, only the clip has a slight "rub" on one edge, the paint isn't even gone, it is just not as shiny as the paint on the rest of the clip, but you have to really look just to see it, very, very minor.
Here's the scoop- I bought this near the end of the time you could still get them through dealers ( there are only 1500 of these on the entire planet ) and I paid $189 plus shipping, etc. so I am into the knife for close to 200 bucks.
REVISED PRICE NOW $160.00- $5 for shipping priority mail within the CONUSA
Like I mentioned, it's the knife or the wife- so I put the wife's picture in my avatar so you can see the situation I am in....ouch.
Thanks for looking! PM me with questions if you have any.
Mac.
