im gonna need to see some ID (on this axe) sir,

so i was just looking at it and near the top of the poll is what looks to be either an R or a B and it isnt in the picture. anybody have any ideas on what this is?
 
Still looks like random rust pitting to me. If you actually believe there is something there then try to figure out a way to present a proper picture. Few if any of us are mind readers!
 
Wonder if it would help show up if you rubbed chalk across the surface. Would help differentiate between the markings and pittings.
