still havent finished my molten salt bath, got too much else on my plate up until now.

anyhow, now i cant find some parts i need.

1.) an adapter to go from the Acetylene regulator to the 1/8'' pipe thread of my burner - the adapter needs to go from 1/8'' pipe thread to the thread of a hose that comes off of the Oxy/Acetyl torch.

2.) a ball valve for the same - threaded for the 1/8'' pipe thread.

nobody around here can help, in fact most of them look at me like im stoopid ;)

anyone got one i can buy?

thanks

Hey SkaerE,

I had a custom hose built for my forge. I just took my regulator to them and they figured out what I needed. They had all kinds of fittings and the right kind of hose for my application. I found them in the Yellow Pages under "Hose and Tubing". If you know exactly what you need, I can check around and see if I can find someone that has what you need. You can also try this guy. Somone turned me onto him when I was trying to find a regulator and hose for my forge. He deals all kinds of forge related parts and pieces.

Good luck,

Jay Hayes definitely has the 1/8" ball valve, he's where I got mine (and various other fittings and things like ITC-100). When I wanted to incorporate a quick disconnect fitting from an acetylene rig into the gas line for my forge I went to a local welding supply place and they hooked me up with the fittings and a short length of hose for free in about two minutes, much the same as Rick said.

Like George said you can find almost anything at MSC or one of my favorites, McMaster. ( www.mcmaster.com ). It helps to know exactly what you are looking for.

Hey does anyone have a link for a decent walk-through for building a salt bath tank setup? Heck I have no idea where I would begin.
