After owning my first piece of INFI (a Scrofa) for a few weeks now, I've put it through the paces of EDC tasks. I've cut up some twine and 550 cord, I've broken down a few hundred boxes, I've sliced up about 15 feet of cardboard. It handles everything with absolutely beautiful ease.

After all that, I was curious to see how the edge was doing. The inch of blade closest to the tip where it's gotten most of the use will still shave arm hair  Holy cow. It's definitely not effortless like it was when I first got the blade, but still. To shave hair after cutting up a ton of a cardboard? That's amazing.

I just hacked up a piece of dried, hard bamboo in my yard with my SARGE 7 LE. I wasn't too surprised that the knife didn't really cut the bamboo so much as it crunched into it and broke it a bit by blunt force -- I could have done just as good a job with a narrow, blunt instrument. What was surprising, though, is that the bamboo, as hard as it was, didn't really seem to affect the edge at all. It was sharp when I started, and sharp after I finished breaking up the bamboo with it :)

I am definitely impressed with the corrosion resistance of INFI. I live on the ocean (300ft away) and have had stainless steel knives develop rust after a few months. I have had my satin Boss Jack for about 7 months now and have only wiped and coated the blade twice with 3-in-1. There hasn't even been a hint of corrosion on this blade, which has seen a bunch of use this humid summer on the ocean.

As I always say grease...I couldn't survive without the smaller knives..but I couldn't live without the large lol.

It's good to hear that you are enjoying your suscrofa! It's a pretty great EDC.

It is a cool blade!

The bladeshape is pretty different. What would you say the main purpose of the blade is? Other than cutting stuff..

It seems to enjoy tearing into stuff and slicing it up. The curve of the blade is great for making long cuts in softer materials, since it kind of wraps around and holds onto whatever you're cutting.
