Pics later.

Everyone here knows (or will now) that John's knives are my favorite. I have owned many knives from many of the popular makers here on BF, yet none have earned as much of my money as John. His knives are reasonably priced, good looking, solid tools that I use regularly. I have owned so many of his designs I cannot remember them all. Some I've sold, others given to friends, and I have kept the ones I love. I designed the Phoenix and NoahL built a gorgeous leather sheath for it. My EWOK has a pocket sheath and used to be my favorite JK, until the new Pocket Scandi came along. I have a Rockywolf's Choice that I think everyone should own, but that's just my opinion.

On a regular basis I use my new ironwood Pocket Scandi and my Rule #9. Sharp as hell, both of them. Used the scandi to slice cheese and tomatoes to make a little tomato, basil, mozzarella cheese dish drizzled with balsamic and olive oil. It was delicious! A bit of bread to soak up the juices and mmmmm, good eating!

I sharpened up the Rule #9 and the back of my hand is now sans hair. I think this knife is the closest I have to a combat styled blade. I train in various martial arts (30 years) and I teach the use of small, concealable knives, yet if a guy wanted to make a statement, this one would do it. Stout enough for the woods AND the kitchen, it is light, pointy, sharp, and has a cleanly constructed kydex sheath.

Thanks again for the excellent tools, my friend. Easy to sharpen, easy to afford, easy to get (no long wait time!!) Get yours today.

If you ever need a 1/8" thick, blunt tip and edge trainer of any of my models, let me know. I`ve done several with basic oak handles for some guys, at a reasonable price. Some wanted kydex sheaths, some did not, I sell them either way.

Rockywolf's Choice. An amazing little knife!

The Peace Garden in Minneapolis. Great place to relax and have some cheese, crackers, and summer sausage!

Great little blade and I couldn't agree more with your assessment of John's knives. I love my pocket scandi but at the moment it is piggy-backed to a larger JK for an "all bases covered" setup. By pocket fixed blade is a Hikers Backup

good bump, rocky!
