Hello, I've been stalking you all for a while and thought I should come to the surface.

So, the reason for this post: I've been carrying a knife (or knives) for the better part of 55 years, since I was a kid. During that time, I always sought a good quality knife and I've had my share of benchmades, Gerber's, and of course the infamous "buck". For the past 15 years, I carried, my Benchmade Stryker Auto at work, with some assorted stuff when off. Well, I recently retired and decided to permanently retire the Stryker as an edc. So the search for a replacement began, and I researched some great (and not so great) YouTube reviews and stalked all the knife forums.

I decieded on a large Sebenza 21 and a XM-18. Well they are both fantastic knives, but the Seb!!!!! I thought you all were nuts with your multiple Chris Reeve knives. The Hinderer is superb, but the Seb!!! Needless to say it hasn't left my pocket in the month that I've had it. But, I am in complete control!!! I will eventually get a Zaan with tanto blade, and a Small inlay Seb, with insingo blade. Then that will be it. Well, those mammoth bark inlays look pretty good. And that Mnandi looks pretty awesome........Have no fear, I am in complete control!!!!!

Welcome to the forums, and I wish you all the best with keeping the collection small.

I'll take odds on how long it takes till you are selling other knives to buy more CRKs! 😊😊

My control varies with the day. Chris Reeve, Hinderer, Becker, Grayman. But whatever you do - do not wander over to the Dark - (Busse) - Side! Welcome, and you have been properly warned, friend.

The "If you could have only one" doesn't quite work around here. LOL. The option to switch out your CRK EDC is nice depending on occasions, thus negating the aforementioned phrase. So my rotation, or available collection includes...
Lrg 21s, several
Sm 21s, several
Ti Lock- now Elemental
Mnandi

You may find a happy medium with just two Sebs, large and small, but I'm afraid NOT. :D Best of luck with your growing collection. Use em well.

Welcome!

While it may be true, that you need more than one, you need only fewer others.

Enjoy the ride.

Welcome to BFC, Recon !!!!!!
You probably need to look for a " I need more money to fund my CRK addiction, job". ;)
So, did you have your Sebenza before you decided to retire or after????

And I thought this would be the place to get support and bolster my self control! Funny how a knife can become more than a tool. If my Stryker could tell it's story.....I needed something with soul to replace it and the Seb certainly has that. Now to start another journey with more stories.

Nope, not getting another CR. Until my next pension check arrives:rolleyes:

Thanks for the warm welcome. You all seem like a pretty good bunch.

Welcome!!!! The addiction will start flowing in your blood at an unstoppable rate......Only way to calm it down is more Seb's!!!!!!!
