I purchased a ZT300 a couple weeks ago and immediately fell in love with it. I love the size, weight, blade thickness, and REALLY love the shape of the blade. I'm so much in love with it that its been my EDC since day one with the "others" getting tossed in my carry bag. Hell I barley EDC my fixed blades anymore.

Anyway I want more. I need to add some similarly hefty knives to my collection and my google search-fu is coming up with noting. I figured here was a good place to ask for ideas.

Thanks in advance!

Well if you want a "hefty" folder, you could always go for one of the heftiest  Direware SOLO
Refer to this thread for pics.
Video too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSt0l40cg_g by 23xdm3.8

I ordered myself one shortly after seeing that thread and video. I'm expecting it this coming July.

HOLY COW!!! That is one beautiful knife! I want it bad but I'm not sure if I can justify the cost. I beat the crap out of my knives and a $500-$600 beater is gonna take some drinking before I can place the order.

Any other ideas?

Well, there's always the 0305. It's almost the same knife, though.

Look at some of the Striders too, though they're really pricey.

Yea the 305 is on my buy list. I already ordered the 301 and I'm actively looking for the 302 as well.

For some unknown reason, I don't care for the Strider's much ... Every time I look into buying one I end up adding another Pro-Tech to the collection instead ... I hear of one that is very similar to the 300 but I have yet to find the model anywhere.

Maybe a BM Adamas or a Spyderco Superleaf. Both have 4mm thick blades and are exceptionally beefy all around with exceedingly strong locks.

Of course, you could always be like me and go for things like this beastie of a Randall with an 8" blade of quarter-inch steel.:D

Well I'm sending off an email for more info on the Direware SOLO. In the link for the Direware post I noticed the Blackwood Mini Skirmish. I'm really digging that one as well. It seems more practical than the SOLO. Unfortunately, I cant find a site or any info at all on buying the Blackwood Mini Skirmish. Searching for the Blackwood Mini Skirmish I did find the Boker/Blackwood Pipsqueak. That one is pretty hot as well.

BTW, the Direware fixed blades are making me drool ...

ZT 0200, ZT 0350 Strider RC, Aforementioned Direware and Crusader Forge, Pohl Force Bravo One, Les George Hydra, Benchmade Skirmish/Bedlam/Onslaught/Adamas.

If you like the shape of the ZT blade, you'd probably like the Benchmade Skirmish, however they are getting pricey since they are discontinued.

I love my mini-Skirmish, which is still pretty hefty.

The 630 Skirmish was the first "premium" folder I ever bought. It makes a ZT0300 look dainty in comparison.
